Ryan Blackburn and Kevin Ramsay are our two principal tutors at the Cook School by Martin Wishart. Having both worked as professional chefs for more than 15 years. They both have a clear understanding of the food served at Restaurant Martin Wishart.
Kevin Ramsay started his apprentiship at the 5 star Caledonian Hotel in Edinburgh. He then worked at Cameron House under Jeff Bland. He has worked in quality hotels and restaurants throughout Scotland and abroad in countries such as Australia and France. He then moved into the private sector working for Ambassador Fernandez at his holmes in Edinburgh and Paris.
Returning from Paris, he then worked as a personal chef to Mayor General Euan Loudon at Gogarbank house in Edinburgh. During this time he produced seasonal menus from the produce grown in the walled gardens and greenhouses, for visiting dignaries, including members of the royal family, Government ministers and visiting ambassadors.
Kevin has a great understanding in preparing dinner parties and he will be fantastic in guiding you through the cookery classes, sharing his valuable experience.
